About Us
We are a Pentecostal body of believers affiliated with the Assemblies of God. We believe the Bible is God's inerrant Word, that Jesus really rose from the dead, and that by His Spirit He wants to do the same things among us today that we read about in the Bible—healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead, speaking in new tongues, and, most importantly, saving souls for eternity.
Chi Alpha is here to help you make friends with other Pentecostal believers so you can stay strong in your walk with the Lord during college. God doesn't want you to just survive college, He wants you to thrive in your relationship with Him, and see yourself as a missionary to the secular university—and XA will help you do that.
We meet on campus multiple times a week to pray, share meals together, to communicate the gospel with those that don't know Jesus. On Friday nights, we meet at Rawls where you can experience corporate worship, hear relevant messages from the Word, and receive prayer for your needs. We also meet in small discipleship groups to study the Word to help you know what you believe and why you believe it—so you can defend your faith against the liberal ideology you're confronted with everyday on campus.
Whether you're a believer that's been raised in the church or someone who's just investigating Christianity, we invite you to come and check us out. We'd love to have you be a part of the Purdue Chi Alpha family. God Bless you!
